Synopsis :
Min wrote a letter for Ed a few weeks after they broke up and a box that includes all the things that she collected and used that as a simbol why they broke up. Min explained each item on how the item simbolize the reason why they broke up. Since Min and Ed came from a different kind of society because Ed is a co-captain of their basketball team while Min is just a typical high school student the society says that is the reason why she and Ed is never meant for each other.
Min started to overcome the emotion and pain that she feel for breaking up with Ed and she explained in the letter all those reason why their relationship didn’t work and cherish all the happiness and good memories that she have with her friend most especially with Al.

Protagonist :
Min Green is the protagonist of this Novel. A side from being the narrator of her own love story, she is also the star of this novel. She’s telling the story why they broke up
Antagonist :
Ed Slaterton is the antagonist of this Novel. He is the co-captain of their basketball team and he is the ex-boyfriend of Min who broke her heart by having a relationship with the another woman.
b. Plot :
Min Green and Ed Slaterton is both a High School student. This story is about a letter that Min’s created for Ed that includes why they broke up. In the letter, Min put all the things that relates the progress of their relationship. Inside of the box are the two bottle caps, a box of matches, a pinhole camera, a fold note, a rubber band, a high school pennant, a toy truck, a recipe book, pinsiere, a fictional liqour, a protractor, a file, a concert ticket, an egg cuber, a polaroid, a comb from a motel room, a pair of ugly earrings and several items that she collected those times that they are been together that she’s going to dumped like an ex-girlfriend.
c. Creativity of the language :
The Novel Why We Broke up? had good creativity of language. It is a type of a contemporary fiction, Romance Novel. The language is too deep to understand their are some vocabulary words that is new for some reader, I guess but its good because they delivered a great story that every teens can relate.
Conclusion :
The Novel book is written by Daniel Handler and Art by Maira Kalman. This book is one of the greatest book that I’ve read so far. It is the book that anyone can relate most especially to those who fall in love and broken hearted. This book teach us that you don’t need to rush in falling in love to someone, you must know him/her first because at the end you are the one who will conquer all the consequences of love. It also happened in the reality that’s why we can learned here a lot.
